Fleet Coordinator Sheffield

We are looking for a confident Fleet Coordinator to coordinate the hire of our fleet of world leading access platforms.  It’s an important role and would suit someone who is resilient with a high degree of confidence at multi-tasking and answering high volume calls.

Being able to communicate effectively and build solid relationships with our customers is critical. Attention to detail is a must as the role will be required to input data into our hire software, the individual must be pro-active to ensure all departments work together, confidence is vital for this role.

On a day-to-day basis, you can expect to be desk-based, working directly with our other departments, liaising regularly with customers, operators and engineers to ensure minimal delay in fulfilling the needs of the customer with readily available equipment.

The role requires you to have the ability to work in an ever-changing fast paced environment. Knowing the importance of self-motivation and enthusiasm and resilience is required to be able to embrace the ever changing meet business needs.

The successful candidate will be based at our Head office in Sheffield and must have a flexible approach to working hours.

Experience of using Syrinx software and telephone Sales experience would be an advantage.

MEWP Operator & Driver SHEFFIELD

We are recruiting driven and motivated MEWP Operatives & drivers who have previous experience and qualifications. We are one of the leading truck mount access, traffic management and contract lifting companies in the UK, servicing Renewables, Telecoms, Offshore, Refineries, Ports and TV / Media. Working on some of the world’s biggest engineering projects

The successful candidate will be based out of our depot in Sheffield, but will be expected to travel to our customer sites across the UK, Ireland and Northern Europe.

The role requires you to work in an ever-changing fast paced environment and required a flexible approach to working hours as there will be a requirement to work away from time to time.

Our fleet is world class and well maintained which is the most varied and technically advanced in the UK.  The ideal candidate will be part of an experienced team of operators working on a variety of projects.

Minimum Requirements

  • Full UK Driving licence
  • HGV Class 2 Licence (preferred)
  • IPAF 1B
  • Previous experience driving and operating truck mounted MEWPs (Bronto, Ruthmann and Palfinger is preferred)

The role:

  • Coordinating all administrative aspects of operations.
  • Handling email and telephone requests and placing on our job trackers.
  • Logging enquiries for new work or one-off jobs.
  • Communication with clients through email and telephone calls.
  • Providing updates on progress of jobs.
  • Responding to emails in a timely fashion.
  • Scheduling deadlines and ensuring surveys have been arranged and completed in line with the customers requirements and deadlines.

Vehicle Maintenance Coordinator

Elev8 have a vacancy for an experienced Vehicle Maintenance Co-ordinator, based from our Head office in Sheffield. This role will work closely with both our maintenance and operations departments to coordinate the maintenance of our vehicle fleet, and keep meticulous records.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with Hire Desk to place rental bookings to cover vehicles off the road
  • Work Closely with maintenance engineers and Operations and Maintenance Manager
  • Proactively make Service and MOT bookings.
  • Identify rechargeable items and process for billing.
  • Highlight warranty issues to reduce fleet costs.
  • Accurately entering data to the fleet management system.
  • Ensure that all hire equipment has a copy of the manufacturer’s user manual and current LOLER inspection in it.
  • Liaise with hire desk as to removing machines from availability should repairs be needed.
  • As part of inspection regime required under PUWER for providing equipment that is safe & in good working order.
  • Ensure that self-drive vehicles undergo a safety and damage check upon booking out and booking back in and that this is recorded on the off-hire note.
  • To log Tax date due for each vehicle, and to re-new tax discs as required
  • To keep toll autopay accounts up to date to cover all fleet vehicles and avoid fines

Powered Access Engineer

Elev8 Access Platforms is owns a fleet of specialist access platforms, purchased from the best MEWP manufacturers in the world. We are now looking for a Powered Access Engineer with previous experience, to join the maintenance department based at our Sheffield Head Office. Although the role is based in Sheffield, you may be required to attend call-outs anywhere in the UK, and so must have a driving licence and a flexible approach to working hours.

The Role

  • To work within the workshop and be required to attend site breakdowns, carrying out maintenance, services and repairs to a wide range of access platforms such as cherry pickers, scissor lifts and spiders.
  • Resolve all technical problems reported regarding hire equipment
  • Manage administration tasks and complete all service and repair records accurately.

Qualifications and experience

  • Previous experience as a mobile powered access engineer, powered access fitter, access platform engineer, access platform fitter, plant engineer, or plant fitter.
  • Previous experience working on plant and/or powered access equipment, including manufacturers such as Bronto, Palfinger and Ruthman.
  • NVQ or City and Guilds qualification in plant maintenance or mechanical engineering.
  • IPAF license and a Full UK driving license.
  • CAP
  • HGV Class 2 License
