Shipping & Ports

Here at Elev8 we have a wealth of experience in providing safe high level access to the shipping industry. As well as “at-sea” projects where we place access platforms on board ships, we also supply MEWP hire services to ports and the industries surrounding the maintenance and repair of shipping vessels.

Working out of all UK and European ports including Denmark, Holland, Ireland, France, Belgium & Germany.  We are experienced in time critical high level on board crane maintenance and overhauls and other high level-works such as:
• Ship painting
• Ship repairs
• High level ship maintenance
• LOLER inspections on ship mounted cranes
• Ship mounted crane maintenance and repairs
• External cleaning of sea vessels

Safe lifting of equipment & materials

As well as a safe platform for lifting people MEWPs can also be used to lift the equipment they need to safely work at height. Amongst our fleet of specialist access platforms we have winches with up to 400kg of safe lifting capacity, as well as lifting frames which are used to lift bulky items such as signage or panes of glass.  Safely lifting your engineers, equipment and materials can increase efficiency and reduce the cost of completing high level shipping works.

Added extras for safe work at high in ports

As well as selecting the safest and most reliable MEWPs for our fleet we also supply access platforms with added extras to make high level ship maintenance and cleaning safer and more convenient.  We have access platforms available for hire with power supply for your power tools available in the MEWP basket.   Our hire fleet also contains MEWPs with water fed hoses through the boom to assist with high level cleaning operations such as cleaning the high level externals of shipping vessels.
