The Children’s Hospital Charity is a local cause close to our hearts. This charity raises funds for Sheffield Children’s Hospital, funding life-saving equipment, new facilities, a comfortable environment for the children who use the hospital as well as raising funds for vital research. Every Christmas the hospital is lit up with a host of sparkling snowflake decorations, each sponsored to raise money for the hospital. Displaying hundreds of snowflakes on the buildings of Sheffield Children’s is a huge task, and a Christmas project we have been involved in for years.
We supply safe work at height for installing the snowflakes using our truck mounted access platforms. Over the years we have donated some of the access equipment required for the install and many of our team have donated time by volunteering to install the snowflakes, so that more of the money the snowflakes raise can go directly to where it is needed in the hospital.
The Children’s Hospital Charity is our charity of choice, and we have even branded our Ruthmann T510HF powered access platform with their logo.
In 2023 we were absolutely delighted to receive the Corporate Special Recognition award from The Children’s Hospital Charity for our support installing the snowflakes over the years.

Our MEWP fleet wore poppies with pride throughout November to raise money for the Royal British Legion’s poppy appeal.
Throughout November our T510HF MEWP has been wearing her poppies with pride to raise money for the Royal British Legions poppy appeal. Lee (Head of Maintenance) and Kay (Compliance Manager) worked as a team to bring the idea to life and raise money for the poppy appeal.
This charity means a lot to Lee, who served for 30 years as a reserve soldier with the Royal Electrical Mechanical Engineers (REME). We have many ex-forces members in the Elev8 team and are proud to support such a worthy cause. Every contribution counts and we thank everyone who donated to the appeal.
