Great news for everyone in the Elev8 team as once again we successfully renewed our ISO Certifications. We hold three different ISO Certifications and because we changed certification body, we went for a full stage 1 & 2 audit across all three standards and passed them all.

This year we changed our certification body and decided to go through the full stage 1 & 2 audit across all three standards, with stage 1 being completed earlier this year.
For stage 2 of the process two experienced external auditors from BSI audited of our systems over three days. A cross section of employees from Elev8 were involved, and two different site visits were conducted to see our operations in practice. During the audit our systems and procedures were reviewed to ensure we are operating to best practice. The auditors were thorough and covered all areas of our business including;
We caught up with Kay, Elev8’s Compliance Manager who told us about the team work behind integrating the services acquired at the start of this year into Elev8’s existing management systems.
“Over the last 6 months everyone has worked extremely hard, not only to achieve a successful outcome of the audit but also to embrace the changes made to our internal management system. Combining the systems of two companies into one has been a huge task, but everyone has worked as a team to achieve it and we have a fantastic foundation to build on. Well done everyone!”
As part of the audit process external auditors visited two of our customers sites to see our operations teams in action and check that they were working to standard.
The first site visited was a university building where members of our team were cleaning windows using reach and wash from a first-floor terrace, and cleaning hard to reach windows using our P300 access platform. As well as checking the working practices of our window cleaning and MEWP operations, the auditor inspected certification of equipment, checked that permits to work were in place, and that the site had appropriate risk assessment and method statements.
The second site audited was an industrial estate where our grounds maintenance team were performing a routine visit to cut hedges and tidy site. As well as checking equipment, the auditor asked our team members to show them the process they were working to. This included the risk assessment performed on arrival right through to signing the job off after completion. We’ve held certifications in ISO9001; ISO14001 and ISO45001 for several years, but this year we decided to move our certifications to BSI.
At the start of 2023 we acquired another local company which used a different certification body to Elev8. We wanted to consolidate all our certifications under one body, and BSI were the natural choice. As well as setting industry standards, BSI are the recognised globally as one of the most experienced independent assessors of best practice.
Here at Elev8 we pride ourselves on delivering safe high-quality services to our clients. We strive to continually improve ourselves and welcome the fact that BSI will be auditing us every six months to ensure we consistently work at best practice and continually improve our business.
2023 has been a very busy year for the Elev8 team. We would like to thank the whole team for continuing to deliver the high standards of service and safety we are well-known for through a period of high growth and change. BSI did a fantastic job of thoroughly auditing our management systems, and we were delighted with the result.

Going forward external audits take place every six months, with a total of five days of external audit ensuring we always stay on the ball”
