There’s a new Operations Director at Elev8!
This summer we welcomed Nigel Gitsham to the Elev8 group. An experienced manager with over 30 years of experience in the telecoms industry, Nigel has a wealth of operational management experience. Read on to find out about Nigel’s background and how he is finding working at Elev8.
Nigel started in mobile telecoms in the early 90’s as a Telecoms Rigger helping to build the telecoms infrastructure we see today, so really does know the telecoms industry from the ground up. After 6 years working on site installing the 2G network for operators like One2One and Orange Hutchinson (that we know now as EE), he moved into a project management role working for Babcock International, a global company that delivers large infrastructure projects.
In 2017 Nigel moved to 8 point 8 Support, which was later acquired by Mitie where he worked alongside our QHSE Director, Adam.
Nigel is well known in the telecoms industry. He has years of experience managing projects on multiple diverse sites, and his skill set applies well to the range of services we supply across the UK.
Nigel has been with us a few weeks now, so we asked him what his first impressions of Elev8 were.
