You may have noticed that twinkling snowflakes have been appearing on Sheffield Children’s Hospital over the last few weeks. But do you know how they get up onto the building?
Sheffield Children’s Hospital is a very special hospital which provides specialist treatment to children from all over the country. The Children’s Hospital Charity raises money to improve the hospital and the service it provides. The money raised is used to buy lifesaving equipment, funds vital research and treatment and creates a comfortable environment for the children that use the hospital.
Every year they run the snowflake initiative, where the externals of the hospital are lit up with Christmas snowflakes. As well giving the hospital a festive look, each snowflake is sponsored by a company to raise money for the Hospital.
For many years Elev8 have provided the MEWP used to install the snowflakes without charge to the Hospital. This year we used our new Bronto S70XR to install the Christmas lights. There are that many snowflakes that it takes three weekends to install them all!
The team at Elev8 wish all the Children & Staff at Sheffield Children’s hospital a happy Christmas. We hope that the children using the hospital enjoy their Christmas snowflakes.
