Elev8 ISO Certification all wrapped up!

Elev8’s has once again passed certification to standards ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001 for another year, and this time Elev8 have combined them into one integrated management system covering all the services that Elev8 supply.  Alucmus ISOQAR, a UKAS accredited ISO certification provider, spent three days thoroughly auditing Elev8’s management systems to ensure they complied to the ISO standards.

The certifications cover all of the services that Elev8 provide including

• Engineering Solutions
• Traffic Management

An ISO Management Standard is a set of internationally recognised guidelines, covering key areas of running and managing a business such as:

• Leadership and commitment
• Managing Business Risks and Opportunities
• Resources such as, People and Infrastructure
• Competence
• Communication
• Operational Planning and Control
• Performance Evaluation
• Improvement

ISO 9001 was first introduced in 1987 and requires organisations to demonstrate that they have a Quality Management System in place to ensure consistency and improvement, leading to high levels of performance and customer satisfaction. Certified organisations are committed to continuous improvement and are assessed to ensure progress is being maintained.

ISO 14001 was first introduced in 1996 as a British Standard and requires organisations to have an environmental policy and action plan in place to manage their impact on the environment. Certified organisations are committed to continuous improvement and are assessed annually to ensure progress is being maintained.

ISO45001 is the international standard for occupational health and safety management systems.  The ISO45001 standard replaces ISO18001.  This standard expects organisations to manage risk, comply with legislation, have a safe working environment, promote communication to improve the health and safety culture.  Organisations are also expected to plan, manage, and review occupational health and safety performance and continually improve health and safety.
